How It All Started

Ere Perez began in Australia in March 2002. From just a young age Ere had a passion and taught herself how to make her own cosmetics, makeup, skin and beauty treatments.

"I had studied many different natural therapies and lived a natural lifestyle, but all the cosmetics I saw were full of chemical ingredients. I wanted to create natural beauty products," said Ere.

The first ever product and who also turns 20 this year is, the almond mascara. After mascara, Ere Perez branched out to foundations, colour makeup and then skincare in 2017. "From day 1 we were toxin-free, cruelty free and nearly 100% vegan. I am so proud we are still here, in this growing movement of clean and natural beauty."

Key Highlights Over The Years

There have been so many highlights over the 20 years, but Ere shares a couple standouts. "Launching the first vegan waterproof mascara, our Avocado Waterproof Mascara, was amazing. We were also thrilled to launch into skincare."

Ere Perez Skincare is made in Australia with beautiful botanicals and some unique ingredients like quandong & Australian blue cypress oil. "When we launched Ere Perez, there were very few natural or cruelty free brands out there, and we paved the way for this to become the future, for the beauty industry to ‘clean up’ and pay attention to ingredients, animal testing and also impact on the environment."

"These values we started with are becoming more widely expected by the beauty consumer and this is very exciting!"

Sustainability Journey

One of the most important aspects of the Ere Perez brand, is their 'Eco-lution' (journey towards sustainable beauty). "We make a conscious effort to package our products more sustainably and we also keep it top of mind when designing new ones, to ensure we are as eco as possible."

"In 2021 we re-launched our Highlighters in plastic-free packaging, to glass jars with aluminium lids. The same for our Carrot Colour Pots and Papaya SOS Marmalades. We also swapped our Jojoba Eye Pencils from plastic lids to aluminium. We focus on mono elements that can be infinitely recycled."

"Every product takes 2 years to make. We weigh up all decisions and do our best to give our customers the most eco option we can find so we can be the ‘guilt-free’ choice."

A Few Of Ere's Very Own Faves

"We just launched coco crayons — which I love so much! They are zero-waste colour crayons, for lips, cheeks, anywhere you want to add some colour blush. It’s so much easier than carrying a lipstick, blush, brush around with you. Just take your slim pencil plus the eco dup sharpener and you’re ready for anything!"

"I also will always love our Moringa All Beauty Crème, it’s the best essential daily moisturiser that is lovely and hydrating, I just love it and use it every morning."

We hope you enjoyed learning more about Ere Perez. Twenty years is such a wonderful achievement, and we are delighted to stock such a gorgeous range of skincare and makeup products that are good for you, the planet and animals.
