How to Choose Your Size
Whilst there are no hard and fast rules for selecting a model size, model selection is generally based on childbearing history, and cervival position, but many other factors such as anatomy, age and pelvic floor tone may influence your cup size selection.
- Model 1: Recommend if you are under 30 and have not given birth (Grippy Finish).
- Model 2: Recommend if you are over 30 or have given birth (Grippy Finish).
- Model 3: Recommend if you have a high cervix or long vaginal canal (Grippy Finish).
- Model 4: Recommend if you have a low cervix or short vaginal canal (Grippy Finish).
Please note that the sizing recommendations should be used as a guide only.
If you have had a caesarean birth a Model 1 or Model 2 JuJu may be suitable.
When selecting a Model number, please also consider the other factors below in conjunction with childbrearing history.
Pelvic floor tone and exercise
If you have particularly strong pelvic floor tone due to practicing regular kegel exercises or other activities such as pilates, yoga or dance you may wish to consider a Model 1, regardless of childbearing history or age.
If you have had vaginal corrective surgery you may wish to consider a Model 1.
Virgins and young women
A Model 1 JuJu is recommended for virgins and sexually active young women.
If you have a petite or small build, you may wish to consider a Model 1 JuJu.
If you have a larger build, you may wish to consider a Model 2 JuJu.
If you have a low cervix or short vaginal canal choose a Model 4.
If you have high cervix or long vaginal canal choose a Model 3.
If you have any gynaecological concerns, such as a particularly long or narrow vaginal canal, we recommend you seek the advice of your medical practitioner prior to using JuJu to see if it is suitable for you.
Your cervical position may also influence your selection of the model number and/or your ability to successfully use a menstrual cup. Your cervix may move at different stages of your cycle, so it’s a good idea to check your cervical position at the beginning, in the middle, and at the end of your menstrual cycle to get a good understanding of your overall cervical position.
To determine your cervical height; wash your hands, then insert your index finger into your vagina to locate your cervix. Your cervix is a bump, which feels a bit like the end of your nose, but is shaped like a donut. Thoroughly wash your hands.
If you consistently feel your cervix sitting just inside the vaginal opening or when you have only inserted the tip of your finger up to your ‘first knuckle’ (or the bend in your finger just below your fingernail), you most likely have a low cervix and a Model 4 JuJu Cup may be the most suitable for you. The Model 4 JuJu Cup is better suited to shorter vaginal canals as it has a shorter body and stem when compared with other JuJu Models. Please only choose this model if you are sure you have a low cervix throughout your cycle as the removal of this cup may be more difficult if you have a normal to high cervix. In most cases, the Model 4 JuJu Cup is not recommended for young girls or virgins.
If you are unable to reach your cervix or need to insert your finger past the middle bend in your finger before you can feel your cervix, you most likely have a high cervix and may like to consider the Model 3 JuJu Cup. The Model 3 JuJu Cup has a longer body, which makes removal easier for women with a high cervix and longer vaginal canal.
JuJu is an Australian business whose core mission is to encourage individuals to embrace their monthly menstruation as a sign of fertility and health and provide them with a healthier, greener and more cost effective alternative to disposable pads and tampons. JuJu was approved for sale by the Therapeutic Goods Administration of Australia (TGA) in February 2011.
JuJu is folded and inserted into the vagina where it opens to create a seal and securely collect menstrual fluid. When full, it is removed, emptied, rinsed and re-inserted. It is cleaned and stored then reused during your next period. A detailed User Guide is enclosed in the box.

GoodBy: Bernadine on 14 August 2018Just typical cup. A lot smaller than my previous cup and it took some getting use to but it works great.
SurprisedBy: Em on 7 August 2018I was so intimidated by this product but determined to use it! The first time I tried to remove it I freaked out ran home and had horrible images flash through my mind of having to get it removed by my dr which I soon found out was ridiculous after googling removal tips I gave it a go and it was so EASY! After that it just got easier and easier the cup is great comfortable at every stage of your period and easy to clean! Also great for exercising never using tampons again!!!!! This is one of two brands I’ve tried compared this cup is a little softer which may be a bit more comfortable? But as far as i can tell makes no difference both cups I’ve tried I love!
Great for the environmentBy: Anonymous on 5 August 2018Ok so I have had my cup for a good six months and I find that is really good product. I find it is an easy enough and similar feeling to a tampon however I just must have a really heavy flow or I should get a different size just because I would have to change it like every 3 hours on my first three days. I also found that it has leaked a number of times but again I really think it is because I should get a different size cup. I now use it for my lighter days for the moment until I get a different size cup (I’m 17 and not given birth if that helps with anyone thinking about this product). Overall, I think it is a really good product plus it does save money and helps the environment!!!
Life and environment saverBy: Anonymous on 16 July 2018I have had my JuJu cup well over a year now and proud to say I have saved the environment and my $$$ not having to buy any tampons or pads. The JuJu cup gives me so much more freedom knowing I can go about my day not worrying about leakages and also less risks of TSS! At first, I was a bit scared trying out a menstrual cup as I found it difficult navigating the insertion and removal of the cup but after practice it becomes quite easy. The particular feature I like about JuJu cups is the silicone is thicker than other brands and feels more secure. Easy to clean and reuse. Highly recommend!
Super amazedBy: Anonymous on 26 June 2018Was a little worried about not being able to get used to it, but it took me less than 2 minutes to put it in the first time, removal was pretty smooth as well. 100% loving this product, periods are so much more comfortable now and this is so eco-friendly and cost-friendly. Would totally recommend this to everyone!!
