- Small cup - Suitable for people with a mid-high cervix and light flow.
- Medium cup - Suitable for people with a mid-high cervix and moderate to heavy flow (you may need to empty the cup more often during heavy flow days).
Made from 100% medical-grade silicone, this cup is non-toxic, BPA-free, and SGS medical device tested.
- Before inserting your menstrual cup, remember to wash your hands with clean water and a mild soap, such as our cup wash.
- There are various folding techniques to try; experiment to find the one that works best for you. Two popular methods are the Punch-Down Fold and the C-Fold. Keep the cup folded until it's fully inside your vagina.
- Relax your muscles and find a comfortable position for insertion. You can lie down, squat, sit on the toilet, or stand. With time, youβll discover the position that works best for you.
- Insert the folded menstrual cup. Once the entire cup, including the stem, is inside, remove your fingers and let it open. Compared to a tampon, the menstrual cup should be placed lower in the vaginal canal. Using water or a water-based lubricant can make insertion easier. If inserted correctly, you may hear a βpopβ or suction sound, indicating that the cup has unfolded and created a suction seal. To check, reach in and feel the base of the cup - it should feel round or oval with no noticeable folds. Gently pull the stem; if you feel resistance, the cup is correctly inserted.
- If you notice any dents or folds at the base of your menstrual cup and are unsure if the suction seal has formed, gently grip the base (not the stem) and rotate it to help it unfold. Once your menstrual cup is in place, try pulling the stem slightly. If you feel resistance, the suction seal has been created, and the cup is correctly positioned.
