5 Healthy Smoothie Bowl Recipes

Here at F&F we love a good smoothie bowl. They are rich in fibre and contain natural sugars that allow for better digestion and help with the absorpotion of key nutrients.

Acai Bowl

Let's start with a classic!

To make:

  1. Steam 1/2 cup of cauliflower, then freeze.
  2. Place all ingredients [cauliflower, 1 frozen banana, 1/2 cup blueberries, 1 tsp of Amazonia Organic Freeze Dried Acai Powder, 1/2 cup of almond milk, 1 1/2  tbsp peanut butter and 1 tbsp of Loving Earth Maca Powder] into a blender and blend until smooth and creamy.
  3. Pour smoothie into a Coconut Bowl
  4. Add your toppings - banana, blueberries, granola.
  5. Enjoy!

Pink Pitaya Bowl

If love the colour pink, you have to try this vibrant smoothie!

To make:

  1. Steam 1/2 cup of cauliflower, then freeze.
  2. Place all ingredients [cauliflower, 1 tbsp pink pitaya powder, 1 frozen banana, 1/2 cup frozen raspberries, sprinkle of flaxseeds and 1/2 cup almond milk] into a blender and blend until smooth and creamy.
  3. Pour smoothie into a Coconut Bowl and add your toppings - granola, dollop of peanut butter, fresh raspberries and shredded coconut.
  4. Enjoy!

Choc Peanut Butter Smoothie Bowl

There's no denying that chocolate and peanut butter is a match made in heaven. If you're after something sweet and desserty, try this satisfying recipe.

To make:

  1. Steam 1/2 cup cauliflower, then freeze.
  2. Place all ingredients [cauliflower, 2 frozen bananas, 1tbsp cacao powder, sprinkle of flaxseeds and 2 tbsp of peanut butter] into a blender and blend until smooth and creamy.
  3. Pour smoothie into a Coconut Bowl, drizzle peanut butter and add your toppings - granola and cacao nibs.
  4. Enjoy!

Strawberry & Chocolate Smoothie Bowl

Strawberries and chocolate is another delictable and tasty combo. Try it as a smoothie and let us know what you think.

To make:

  1. Steam 1/2 cup cauliflower, then freeze.
  2. Place all ingredients [caulifower, 1 frozen banana, 1 tbsp cocoa powder, 1 tbsp peanuter butter, sprinkle of flaxseed and 1/2 cup of almond milk] into a blender and blend until smooth and creamy.
  3. Pour smoothie into a Coconut Bowl and add your toppings - home made granola, cacao nibs, fresh strawberries and a dollop of peanut butter.
  4. Enjoy!

Strawberry Smoothie Bowl Topped With Nut Mix

This healthy and wholesome recipe is sure to satisfy your tastebuds and help keep you fuller for longer.

To make:

  1. First start by steaming, then freezing 1 zucchini.
  2. Add all ingredients [zuchinni, 1 frozen banana, 1tbsp cacao powder, 1/2 cup strawberries and 1/2 a cup of almond milk] into a blender and remove when smooth. 
  3. Pour your smoothie into a Coconut Bowl.
  4. Drizzle some peanut butter on top and add your toppings - strawberries, cacao nibs, chia seeds, almonds and pumpkin seeds.
  5. Enjoy!
