Flora & Fauna Eco Friendly Bamboo Toothbrush with Medium Bristles.

We are proud to introduce our affordable bamboo toothbrush.

At Flora & Fauna we are very passionate about our planet and the impact we have on it so we've introduced a toothbrush which is made from MOSO bamboo and the handle is biodegradable.
Worldwide we throw away around 5 billion toothbrushes a year. We also use around half of the plastic used each year on single use products, so we need to make a change. We still need great dental health and should change our toothbrush every 6-8 weeks but we need a better way.

Our toothbrush is biodegradable. The bristles are nylon but they can be recycled (check with your local waste collection). We find the the best way to dispose of the brush is to pull out the bristles, or cut off the head, and pop the handle in the composter.

Far better than expected.

I've been hesitant to switch to a bamboo toothbrush for a while because I usually like to use a hard toothbrush, the firmer the better as I find softer bristles feel a bit like hair in my mouth and make me gag. The medium is a little softer than I might like, but I was starting to get tooth pain from my very vigorous brushing with a very firm brush. For brushing my teeth these medium bristles don't activate the gag reflex for me, and they clean so well, it's almost unbelievable how clean my teeth feel and the tooth pain is gone, but when brushing my tongue I will gag a little, but this is a personal thing. The only other "complaint" I might have is that the bamboo could be a little smoother, but I'm sure a light sand with a fine grit and/or some coconut oil would fix that.
