Oct 15, 2021by Gabby - F&F

Double cleansing? That's right, you read correctly, and it's exactly how it sounds.

Double cleansing, is cleansing your face not once, but twice.

Here's why — the first cleanse removes any dirt and makeup that has built up on your skin throughout the day. The second cleanse, picks up on anything the first cleanse may have missed. This is why it is so important to double cleanse. Plus, cleansing your face sets the scene for your overall skincare routine, so you want to make sure you prepare your skin for success!

Everything You Need To Know About Double Cleansing

Double cleansing is suitable for everyone! It's often misconceived as something only people who wear makeup should do, however that is not true. Our face accumulates a lot throughout the day, whether it be sweat, dirt or dust. Did you know that in Australia, on average, people touch their face 23 times in just 1 hour. Most of the time it is sub consciously too, so you only imagine the amount of dirt that enters.

Double cleansing should be done at night but you should also do a single cleanse in the morning. This is to rid dust pillow. Yep, it's a thing! Giving your face a nice quick wash in the morning can also help you wake up and start the day feeling fresh.
