Exfoliators For Face
Depending on your skin type, you’ll want to choose a physical exfoliator or a chemical exfoliator — but what’s the difference?
A physical exfoliator requires a ‘scrubbing’ action with a facial scrub or tool, like a konjac sponge or gentle face brush. Physical exfoliants have immediate results and work to increase cell turnover on the upper layers of the skin. A chemical exfoliator uses acids (like fruit enzymes) to penetrate deep into the skin’s pores to break down dead skin cells. Chemical exfoliants don’t require any scrubbing, and they offer longer-lasting results.
Depending on which one you choose, it’s important not to overdo it! Most experts agree that your physical exfoliator can be used 2-3 times a week, and depending on the strength of your chemical exfoliator, you might be able to use it more often.
