The Australian Natural Soap Company Solid Shampoo for Dry Hair, to Naturally Cleanse Your Hair.
These new solid shampoo bars are beautiful, effective and have captivating natural scents derived from essential oils. Australian made, palm oil free and in biodegradable packaging, they have been crafted to deliver exactly what you need.
This shampoo for dry hair is rich in fatty acids from Macadamia oil which nourishes and moisturises brittle hair adding shine and strength to seriously dehydrated strands. Argan oil, often referred to as liquid gold, tames unwanted frizz and treats those pesky split ends. Lavender, clary sage, and peppermint oil, all known to stimulate hair growth, add a beautiful and energizing scent.
Do you need a conditioner? No; we use conditioners typically because we use such harsh products to clean our hair. These shampoo bars are packed with nourishing oils so you can go without a conditioner. Something you might want to do is use coconut oil or argan oil as a hair mask at regular intervals.
All Australian Natural Soap Company's soaps are handmade in Australia, vegan, cruelty free, paraben free, sulphate free, detergent free and palm oil free. They are also biodegradable, as is their beautiful packaging. Certified Cruelty Free.
Use with water to cleanse your hair.

Love this shampoo bar!By: Anonymous on 6 January 2019The first time I used this I couldn’t get a good lather and my hair soon became limp and oily after wards, but I did use a conditioner so that probably didn’t help. However the second time I did 3 washes with the bar and by the third it was lathering up really well and my hair felt squeaky clean, I think I needed to get rid of the buildup from previous products for it to work well. I do have dry hair which frizzes and have found I still need a light conditioner afterwards. I have been using Lush “ Veganese” which seems to compliment this shampoo bar well.
Mixed FeelingsBy: Anonymous on 10 December 2018I have mixed feelings about this product. The product states that you shouldn't need to use conditioner with the product however my hair feels quite greasy after washing it with the bar alone, sometimes so much i will have to condition my hair 2-3 times after using it. I have found that putting an apple cider vinegar wash through my hair afterwards, followed by my regular conditioner seems to help. I will continue to use this product though, as it is a great zero-waste product, also my hair does seem a little less dry now.
Does not do the Job for meBy: SS on 2 November 2018I picked this up in support of a Melbourne company and I got both the oily hair and the normal one. Sadly, I noticed that it does not lather much, and second day after washing my hair actually feels oily and dirty. I am going back to my old brand.
Can Feel The Difference InstantlyBy: Anonymous on 8 October 2018I suffer from dry, damaged hair all my life. I have thick, straight Asian hair and together with the dryness and damage it has received from colouring over the years, I cannot wear my hair in a bun with the use of one hair tie - the bun is too thick and heavy, and the dryness allows the hair to slip right out of the bun within minutes. I initially decided to try a shampoo bar because I wanted to avoid the use of plastic bottles for commercial shampoos. I picked this shampoo bar for my dry hair and admittedly, the first use was a very uncomfortable experience because my hair felt "squeaky clean", I couldn't run my fingers through my hair after a rinse and even after a day, my hair felt like it hadn't dried. It also felt like there was layer of something on each strand of hair. But then I discovered that my hair could be moulded into natural waves, which doesn't straighten out, after I tied it into a French braid one morning and let it go after that. My hair had volume in a quality kind of way, not just quantity, and for once, I appreciated the thickness of my hair which can now be put into a simply twisted up bun, AND IT DOESN'T FALL OUT FOR HOURS! I love my hair so much now and it's only been ONE WEEK. I tell everyone now that I am finally having a GREAT HAIR DAY everyday!
AwfulBy: Anonymous on 2 October 2018I have been using solid shampoo for over a year now and swapped to this one to support an Australian Company. It is the worst product I think I have ever used on my hair. I do have dry hair and loved the reviews for this shampoo. Sadly it leaves my hair waxy and dirty looking. So bad that I can twist my hair up and it will stay without a hair elastic! I tried using more, I tried using less. The ASC were awesome with their response when I enquired if I was doing something wrong and did suggest using less and leaving for a week in between to let the oils soak in, and suggested I try a milder shampoo. Sadly I won't be throwing good money after bad and have returned to my other brand, which is just as ethique'al (see what I did there?!). It hasn't put me off this awesome Company but I can't recommend this bar at all.
