Onya Reusable Charcoal Bread Bag
These reusable bread bags from Onya are the perfect way to pick up your loaf from the baker so no more single use plastic.
They are made from up to 10 recycled plastic drink bottles and they are a large size so they will fit most standard loaves and 6 standard bread rolls. The bags are BPA Free and freezer safe so you can minimise waste by freezing your bread. They have a double lining to help prevent freezer burn. With a roll and clip closure, you can simply roll down the closure. Bread that is preservative free will last 1 to 2 days on the benchtop in these bags. Note the material is woven so air can still reach the bread and therefore 1 to 2 days is the maximum time we would recommend for storage in these bags.
Onya Top Tip: Put your sliced bag from the baker in these bags and put straight in the freezer then take the slices out each day as you need them.
- 41cm long x 25.5cm wide plus a 10cm gusset, to allow even high top loaves to fit.
- Pull through inner lining for easy cleaning
- Loaves last up to 1 to 2 days
- Freezer proof
- Fits most sized loaves including “high top” loaves
- Roll and clip closure also acts as a handle when shopping
- Made from BPA Free foodsafe rPET material (recycled plastic drink bottles)
- 100% Recyclable & Sustainable
Onya is a wonderful Aussie company from WA who have been around for a few years and are doing great things for our environment. Onya continually look for better alternatives to products we use everyday and seek to remove single use plastic from our everyday lives. We love their ethics and vision and can't wait to see what else they have on offer. Their packaging is made from post-consumer recycled material and printed with water based inks so it is suitable for both recycling or composting!
Use to store your bread and also transport it from the shops.

Over-engineered?By: Vanessa on 13 September 2018Although this product is quite attractive, I can't help but think it's a little bit of overkill. The metal clip is quite weighty and I find it hard to undo. The bag is double-lined and seems to be nicely air tight but I cant see why a simple single weight dry bag of similar size wouldn't do the same job for a fraction of the materials used, since they are also air tight. It does the job, but the clip annoys me.
Not the greatestBy: Kim on 21 August 2018These looked great and read like a great product but when they arrived, I was less than impressed. It’s hard to get the bread into them and if it’s a large loaf then it’s squashed when you try to close the bag. I bought 3 of these and won’t be using them, which is a shame.
Great freezer bagBy: Lisa Purvis on 20 August 2018We bake our own bread, slice it, then store it in the freezer. We wanted a non-plastic storage bag that would fold down as we used the bread. This fits the bill and looks good too! I can't imagine it would store bread too well on bench top for more than a day or so as it's not air tight. It suits our needs though.
GreatBy: Emily on 7 August 2018I love my bread bag! The ladies at the bakery gave me a weird look the first time I asked them to use it but now it’s normal and they don’t mind! Fits any loaf I want or bread rolls it’s great!
Bread BagBy: Pamela on 7 August 2018I love this bag.Bread keeps well Bread freezes really well in it too. The only problem I have had is the big home made loaves don't fit in until half is eaten. They are just too high. But id still give a 5 star rating
