Green + Kind Bamboo Reusable Straw available at Flora & Fauna
Plastic straws are a major environmental problem. In the US they use over 500 million a day! The plastic ends up in our waterways and landfill. They don't break down easily and either sit there for years or, if they get in our waterways, end up in our marine life. These bamboo straws are a great fun and stylish alternative made with no glue or lacquers and a natural, food safe, oil finish. Use with juice, smoothies, cocktails or whatever for a unique drink. Reusable and biodegradable. For longevity use the supplied cleaning brush for years of sipping.
The pack contains 1 bamboo straw.
24cm long. Made ethically in China.
Green + Kind is founded by us folk at Flora & Fauna. Green + Kind focus on ethical products that have minimal impact on the environment but are also good for us. Green + Kind believe there are better alternatives to things we use every day and they like to do it with a twist.
Green + Kind are heavily focused on conservation whether that be marine, animal or the environment. With these toothbrushes Green + Kind proudly sponsor Sea Shepherd to help with marine conservation and 50c from each toothbrush goes to Sea Shepherd.
Pop in a drink and enjoy. Use the supplied cleaning brush for years of sipping. Hand wash; we don't recommend putting in a dishwasher.
Bamboo strawBy: Zelda Giblett on 28 January 2018Love them and not plastic
Bamboo strawBy: Alice Milson on 22 January 2018Great product. Easy to use, wide enough to be the same as a normal straw. Easy to clean.
I like itBy: Anonymous on 11 January 2018This is much better than the really big stainless steel straws I first bought. They felt so strange drinking out of but these are not like that. The inside does feel a bit soft and funny but not in a bad way like the feel of the large stainless steel ones. I have found a small/thin? stainless steel straw which is my favourite but this would come in second place. You do have to be careful not to leave them in the cup with left over liquid as they get a bit of a water stain but I think once it is washed and dried it goes away.
GreatBy: Alice on 20 November 2017I like this straw a lot. I think that metal straws taste funny, and I am worried about chipping my teeth. I don't have these problems at all with this straw, and it is compostable! Pretty wide, so you can get a good amount at once. I have tried it with water and softdrink. Have yet to try it with milkshakes as I was a bit worried that the fruit pieces would get stuck to any rough patches on the inside of the straw and bring them up as splinters, but a quick brush with a straw cleaning brush stopped me worrying about that. Definitely worth buying, especially as an alternative to the metal straws.
Hard suckerBy: Lauren Burdett on 20 November 2017I found the opening of this straw to be a bit too small, it made drinking my rather thin smoothie a bit hard, I had to suck more than normal. Also, as it isn't clear, it's hard to check how clean it is after washing - ie no residue left from use
