This bamboo container can be refilled. Refills sold separately. Otherwise, at the end of its lifecycle the bamboo can be composted. With work gloves, safety goggles and pliers, break apart the mirror and plastic from the bamboo. Any mirror and plastic components can be recycled locally. Please check with your local council if they will take it and what criteria they have for recycling it. See our recycling 101 blog post for more information. The bamboo can be composted at home. For a quicker compost time, carefully break the bamboo into smaller (Please wear work gloves and safety goggles as the bamboo can get sharp).
This compact is created from bamboo, making it good for your products, and the environment. Unlike most timber, bamboo is a self-regenerating natural resource, meaning new shoots appear annually to ensure production continues after individual culms are harvested. This creates sustainable supplies for the wood and cellulose industries.
Bamboo is used for many ecological purposes, including soil stabilization and erosion prevention on hills and verges. It’s also harvested from existing natural forests, plantations and mixed agroforestry systems, meaning bamboo silviculture is an option for conserving and protecting tropical forests long into the future.
