Dirty Hippie Cosmetics Shampoo Bar for Itchy Scalps & Most Hair Types (140g)
This all natural vegan shampoo bar will help balance itchy scalps and nourish most hair types (works perfectly on dreadlocks) as it cleanses. It is made with Silica rich Bamboo Powder to aid in thickness and growth, Neem Oil to soothe itchiness and dandruff and naturally extracted Vitamin B5 and a little Citric Acid to PH balance the product and stop frizzing.
The bar should last 20-25 washes. It is quite moisturising so only light conditioning is recommended afterwards.
Like all of the products from the Dirty Hippie collection the product has been packaged with our planet in mind. This product comes with a paper band that is compostable. Handmade in Australia

Definitely give it a tryBy: Anonymous on 14 March 2019I have really wanted to reduce plastic packaging around the home so have been meaning to try the shampoo bar. I have shoulder length, wavy hair and have enjoyed how much more wavy my hair has become although I have also stopped using conditioner so this will also have something to do with my hair being thicker and wavier (no silicone to weigh it down). I haven't tried using apple cider as a rinse after the shampoo bar but I've heard this can help balance out the natural oils in your hair that may change when you first stop using standard shampoo. My hair felt a little oily in the roots second wash in with the shampoo bar, but better since.
Love it, works for meBy: Anonymous on 25 February 2019I've tried a few types of bar shampoos but didn't really like them, but I find this one cleans my hair really well & has been great for my scalp.
Love itBy: Kate on 20 October 2018Smells divine, leaves my hair clean (I’ve got curly hair and find it works well) and it lathers sufficiently! Might not be for everyone but I think it works and love that it’s ‘no waste’. Look forward to washing my hair with this :) definitely am going to buy again!
Dirty Hippie Shampoo BarBy: Anna on 1 October 2018Unfortunately I have to agree with the negative reviews for this shampoo bar :'( Like previous reviews say, I really wanted to love it, it smells amazing and lathers well. But it just doesn't leave my hair clean.. Leaves a very thick, heavy, greasy feeling in the back of my hair, leaving it flat and oily looking :/ Weirdly, it always seems to be nicer and cleaner at the front, but no matter how well I rinse, the back of my hair remains feeling worse with each wash. Will be trying a different shampoo bar when this one runs out.
Dirty Hippie ShampooBy: Kiara on 12 September 2018I really wanted to love this. It smells divine, and it lathers well- But it just doesn’t get my hair clean. With each progressive wash, my hair is looking greasier and dirtier, and feels worse. I’m washing it twice each time, and really scrubbing, but it’s just not doing it. I’ve been using bar shampoos for a while now- and this just doesn’t work for me.
