Get heritage seeds and seeds kits at The Little Veggie Patch Co at Flora & Fauna. Their journey began in 2008 when they installed raised garden beds and larger edible gardens in people's homes. They are passionate about the slow food movement and raising awareness about the origins of our produce. Their mission is to remind people to be more mindful about the foods they consume and to encourage them to grow fresh, better-tasting produce at home. Their range of heirloom seeds has now expanded to over 50 varieties. No matter whether you live in an apartment or a block of land, growing your own produce is made easier.

  • What to plant in: Wall garden, pots and in-ground
  • Spacing: 20-40cm
  • Depth: 2-4cm
  • Position: Full sun preferred, will tolerate partial shade

How to Plant

Use a free-draining soil well integrated with compost or good quality potting mix when growing in pots. Soak seeds in water overnight prior to planting and then sow directly to the patch. Fertilising the plants excessively will result in mostly vegetative growth at the expense of flower development, so feed your plants moderately.
