The Ancient Secret of Argan Oil

Aug 17, 2015by Julie - F&F

Argan Oil is extracted from the nuts of the Argan tree, also known as ‘The Tree of Life’. The trees originate from Morocco and Argan Oil is an ancient beauty secret once known only to Berber women. We explain more in this blog.

It is a luxurious oil, rich in naturally occurring antioxidants, Vitamin E, essential fatty acids and other amazing nutrients for your skin. Argan Oil has many uses and is the perfect oil to incorporate into your daily routine. So how can you use it and what benefits are there?

Face Moisturiser:

Argan Oil is wonderful to help anti ageing and moisturises and protects your skin. It is also a good acne treatment.

After cleansing massage a few drops directly into your face and neck. If using it as a serum apply your moisturiser after the oil has absorbed into the skin.

Bath and Body Oil

Argan Oil rehydrates skin, can help dry, cracked heels and is wonderful for stretch marks and scars. Use it on your nails too as a nourishing treatment.

Add a few drops directly to your skin or into the bath or add to your body lotion for moisturised skin.

Illuminiser

Add a couple of drops to your foundation, bronzer or tinted moisturiser for a dewy, luminous glow.

Hair Conditioner and Treatment

Argan Oil is great for repairing split ends, conditioning a dry scalp, restoring shine and encouraging hair growth. It really is a must to use on your hair.

Use as a leave in conditioner by adding 1-3 drops to your hair and scalp after the shower whilst your hair is still wet. It will help hydrate, nourish and moisturise.

Use as an overnight treatment by massaging a small amount into your hair, ends and scalp. Wrap your hair and leave it on overnight. In the morning wash your hair for luscious locks.

Flora & Fauna offers Argan Oil from Atom Boutique and Acure.
