Kunzea oil has a unique composition, with a high content of important sesquiterpene compounds. The major chemical components found in Kunzea are α-pinene (39.9%), 1,8-cineole (15.8%), globulol (11.9%), viridiflorol (9.4%), biocyclogermacrene (5.1%), α-terpineol (2.9%).
