THE BAMBOO HANDLE
Our carefully designed handle is created from Bamboo, an environmentally sustainable timber. It is the fastest growing plant on earth, and incredibly abundant. Our bamboo is cultivated for three years, and then harvested.
It regenerates itself naturally, with minimal rain and without the need for harmful pesticides. In fact, by harvesting and using the bamboo, we help to control unwanted spread into agricultural and natural forest areas, thus giving purpose to an overpopulated natural resource.
THE CHARCOAL BRISTLES
From as far back as 30, 000 BC, Charcoal has been used as one of nature’s best absorbing and cleaning agents. PearlBar has now harnessed all of Charcoals natural goodness and put it into our biodegradable bristles, offering your pearls the best clean they’ve ever had.
Charcoal is a natural antibacterial, anti-fungal and antiviral agent. Activated charcoal uses extremely high-burning temperature and a fast-cooling process. Because of this; the activated charcoal gives the bristles extremely powerful absorption qualities, helping absorb stain-causing toxins in the mouth while reducing the growth of cavity forming bacteria that may cause bad breath.
Best of all, it naturally whitens teeth while absorbing harsh chemicals found in tap water and toothpaste.
What types are available?
That is an easy one to answer - Although most dentists will only recommend a SOFT bristle we have found that approx 45% of Australians use a Medium toothbrush. We have soft and medium in the Eco toothbrush and soft, medium and child in the Enviro toothbrush.
Healthy gums and teethBy: Sandy McArdle on 31 May 2017I have used this toothbrush for a year now, I don't find it as coarse as the supermarket (including soft bristle) ones and my dentist says my teeth and gums are the healthiest he has ever seen them!
Actually works!By: Virginia from Future King & Queen ethical lif on 23 January 2017After trying a few different brands of bamboo toothbrushes, I'm delighted to have found this one because it cleans really well. Yes, a few bristles do fall out here and there, but that's a small price to pay for a product which can go in the compost bin when it's finished it's useful life.
Super soft!By: Chantal Brindley on 16 April 2016A very good brush- only downsides are that the head is so tiny! and I have had a few bristles fall out thus far also
