Note from Flora & Fauna: You may think these products are fussy and you need time. Let me assure you that this isn't the case. I am someone with no time and I enjoyed this; it's easy, quite fuss free and your hair feels, and smells, amazing. There is a bit of preparation but it's the same as stirring a bowl of pasta - no effort and that comes from someone who doesn't cook a lot.
Desert Shadow Hair Colour Products also act as a hair treatment, helping to repair dry and damaged ends, leaving your hair silky soft and shiny
This Non-irritating 100% Certified Organic formula is ideal for those who have scalp issues, sensitive skin and allergies to commercial hair dyes. It is also a wonderful and safe alternative for Pregnant Mums who would like to continue colouring during pregnancy* as they contain nothing but Certified Organic Goodness.
Allow yourself plenty of time for this treatment but enjoy it as it is a relaxing treatment.

Note if the recipe indicates do add honey you do not need to do this to keep it vegan.
At Desert Shadow, they only work with botanical ingredients so they use a variety of plants to create the different shades, although, every colour has a different formulation.

Natural colourBy: Anonymous on 20 July 2017I have used this now a few times and the colour deepens and looks very natural. It covers my grey bits and does not leave an obvious root-regrown because the colour just fades. After I have mixed up half the packets (I have shorter hair) and applied it to my hair, sometimes I still have some mixture left. I then put it in the freezer for next time. When ready to use, I reheat it in the microwave and apply it warm. I have found that I can cut down to 2 hrs of henna-on-hair before rinsing it out (before I waited 4 hrs). Very happy!
Very HappyBy: Linda Di Bella on 5 February 2017I have very dark brown hair with a few whites coming through. Wanted to blend the whites somehow but was very reluctant to use chemical dyes. So decided to try Desert Shadow, after researching online about natural dyes. I loved the process of mixing the different sachets. It was a very calming 'me' time. I didn't think it was a big procedure. I covered my hair with the dye and left it on for 5 hours, covered with a plastic bag and towel wrapped on top. I washed it out after the 5 hours, it came out easily. Then let it dry naturally and it was a vibrant caramel-red-brown. My hair was darker everywhere with a shadow of the red-brown-caramel colour. My whites were completely blended and they became a highlight of a shade of caramel-orange. They blended nicely with my hair. My hair was very shiny and the shine has still lasted till now which has been about 3 weeks. I am VERY happy with this product and will definitely use again in a few weeks. I'm also glad it is an Australian product and was suprised that Desert Shadow was stocked in Lithgow which is where I bought it from. Thanks Desert Shadow for your peace of mind and amazing product.

AwesomeBy: Robyn on 20 December 2016Tried the Strawberry Blonde first but was a bit too orange for my liking so have tried this one and love it. A bit of a process to apply so don't be in a hurry but well worth it.
